Justin Timberlake’s first movie is  Alpha Dog, most people think. But Edison Force is his first movie that can’t release in theatres. There are many reasons that take much time to make decisions to not release a movie in theatres.
I think the producers viewed this movie and thought that it suck too much to be released into the mass market. Therefore, there are only DVDs available for this movie. Why does it suck?
there are top actors in this movie such as Kevin Spacey & Morgan Freeman!! How can this movie go wrong?  This movie has all the ingredients of a top–class movie yet it was not even released in cinema. A lot of the fanboys said in IMDB that it’s not the fault of Morgan or Kevin as they only have less than 10 minutes of screen time. 10 minutes my ass. Both of them, especially Morgan Freeman does have quite a lot of screen time. Maybe Kevin has less than 10 minutes but I don’t know. I am not fanboyish enough to hold a timer and time Kevin’s screentime throughout the whole movie. Speaking of which, does it counts if he is talking to someone and the screen is showing the other person’s face instead? Duh…
Anyway, the main star of this movie is Justin Timberlake. He is actually playing a major role in this movie. All the side characters were actually his supporting actors to make him look good. Well, his acting is okay. I just can’t stand his sissy voice. I had no idea he sounded that way in real life. Other than that, nothing outstanding. Maybe he is overshadowed by Kevin or Morgan.

Besides the acting which is considered top–notch, the storyline is not bad too. Yes, I find that the storyline is okay. It does have some flaws here and there but not so out of this world sucks. Some people are really good at extreme criticism. “Wah…this is the worst movie I have ever watched in my whole life!!!”. Yeah..stupid if you watched only one movie in your lifetime. Or two where the other is Titanic or Lord of the Rings. Production is again not too shabby. Nothing to brag about and nothing to complain about either. Average production values are sufficient as the storyline does not need big production sets.

So, overall I would say if you forego the expectation of a big movie by A–list actors then you would surely be disappointed. Just watch the movie as it is and you will find that it is actually not too bad. A good attempt by Justin to make it onto the big screen but with his sissy voice, there is no way he is going to be an action hero.
